Juneathon Day 1… and we’re off!

Tuesday, June 1st, 2010

Day one of Juneathon done and dusted ;)

A nice two miler to get me back in to the swing of things.  I’ve only been running for a month and a half and have taken the last 10 days off due to a recurring pain in my knee after runs… I’m glad to report there’s no knee pain and there’s now a mere 29 days to run.

Just to repeat my aims for this June. They are to:

a) Run every day
b) Cut out the alcohol (* England World Cup match days are exempt!)

I’ve included the little Garmin embed whatsit below…

My First Juneathon

Wednesday, May 19th, 2010

After reading about previous Juneathon efforts on various blogs while digging through archives I’ve decided to give it a go myself.

What is it?

“It’s a month of exercise. Running, cycling, walking, rowing, weights, whatever. Just do something every day in June.” – See Juneathon FAQ over at Jog Blog.

My Goal

To run every day in June and I’m also going to use this as a perfect opportunity to cut out the booze completely!

It’s going to be tough but I’m up for a summer challenge.

Just remembered it’s World Cup month! New personal rule: beer is allowed on England match days.
